Prospective Graduate Students

The Land-Atmosphere Interaction Group offers programs leading to the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The group could accept six master's and three doctoral students for graduate degrees through the Graduate School of the Sun Yat-Sen University every year. Our researches are in such area as climate and earth system studies with multiply discipline involved, including atmospheric sciences, hydrology, geography, ecology, soil science, remote sensing and so on. We work closely with many scientists at centers or institutes under China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), as well as international weather and climate modeling groups. Perspective students should have a bachelor degree, preferably in an area of physics, mathematics, meteorology, geography, hydrology, ecology, or other earth science discipline.

The Land-Atmosphere Interaction Research Group at the Sun Yat-Sen University also invites applicants to apply for 2-5 staff or postdoctoral research positions in the area of land-atmosphere interaction. We seek highly motivated individuals who are willing to take an active role in promoting research, education, and interdisciplinary interactions. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. and an established or emerging research program of international prominence.
